DST Starts in the US & Canada

The Sun is about to rise and set one hour later in the US and Canada as DST starts. Most states and provinces will spring forward one hour for DST in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 12, 2023.

DST in North America always happens at 2 am—local time—in each time zone, but some states don’t change their clocks.

Europe Starts DST Two Weeks Later

Two weeks after North America springs forward, it’s Europe’s turn. Most Europeans set the clocks forward one hour on March 26 at 01:00 UTC.

A Very Tired Monday Indeed

The Monday after our clocks leap forward for DST might feel extra long. But don’t fret: around 360 million North Americans may feel the same on Monday, March 13 ...

... and on March 27, millions of Europeans will also have a rough Monday.

Spring DST: the ultimate Monday?
