DST in Arizona Today
Arizona is the only state in the contiguous US that has opted out of DST, a right granted by the US Energy Policy Act of 2005.
The Navajo Nation, a semi-autonomous Native American territory, observes DST because it extends into New Mexico and Utah. The Hopi Nation, which lies within the Navajo Nation, follows Arizona's no-DST rule.
