Penumbral phase ends - the eclipse is over

The Full Moon shines like normal again, and this lunar eclipse is over. But you can watch it over and over, just rewind the stream or click the play button to start it again.

Penumbral phase lasts another hour

It will now take another 60 minutes for the Earth's penumbra to leave the Moon's surface, bringing the penumbral phase, the final phase of this eclipse, to an end at 23:28:38 UTC.

Partial eclipse ends

As the partial stage of this lunar eclipse ends, only Earth's faint outer shadow, the penumbra, remains on the Moon, which can be difficult to see. It may look a little darker than usual, or it may look like an ordinary Full Moon.

Partial eclipse ends soon

As the darkest part of Earth's shadow, the umbra, retracts from the Moon, the red color has faded and the partial lunar eclipse is coming to an end.
