It will now take another 60 minutes for the Earth's penumbra to leave the Moon's surface, bringing the penumbral phase, the final phase of this eclipse, to an end at 23:28:38 UTC.

Partial eclipse ends

As the partial stage of this lunar eclipse ends, only Earth's faint outer shadow, the penumbra, remains on the Moon, which can be difficult to see. It may look a little darker than usual, or it may look like an ordinary Full Moon.
