What’s next?

It is going to be all hands on deck for the stream team for the next two years.

In two weeks, on November 7-8, a total lunar eclipse is visible from Asia, Australia, North America, parts of northern and eastern Europe, and most of South America. Our mobile observatory will be traveling to Roswell, New Mexico in the US.

On April 23, 2023, a total solar eclipse passes over the North West Cape, a remote peninsula of Western Australia. We will be streaming the event LIVE in collaboration with Perth Observatory.

A few months later, on October 14, 2023, we will be back in Roswell to live stream the Great American annular solar eclipse

The Great North American total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024 concludes a golden few years of solar eclipses in the United States.

Looking ahead beyond that, in August 12, 2026 a total solar eclipse is visible from parts of Spain.

There Goes the Moon’s Shadow...

In just a few seconds, the Moon’s penumbral shadow will lift off the Earth’s surface, ending today’s partial solar eclipse.

We won’t have to wait long to see its shadow on Earth once again. In about six months, on April 20, 2023, the Moon will completely cover the Sun for 1 minute 16 seconds at its maximum. Stay tuned! We will have more information about our live stream of this eclipse in the coming months.

The mobile observatory team will barely have time to breathe after today’s eclipse. In just over a week, they are off to Roswell, New Mexico (yes, of the aliens and UFO fame) to set up for the total lunar eclipse of November 7-8.

We will be back in Roswell once again in 2023 to live stream the Great American annular solar eclipse.
